Poison Ivy strutting around...

Hi there!
If you don't like cosplay maybe it's better if you ignore this journal, I don't wish to bore anyone.
For the ones who checked my cosplay outfits or know me in a while, you probably know Poison Ivy was the costume which required more work from me , since I had to create the outfit from nothing.
It killed me, but it was really funny creating the top and the shorts, the 'gloves', the belt and the ring.
Someone justly pointed out I didn't get a good background for my costume to stand out with though, since Poison Ivy is supposed to be surrounded by nature and green, but... the comiccon was in an ugly grey building, surrounded by more grey and I was in group with other people so I couldn't really go far and find a garden or anything. Plus I couldn't have my hair red because of university and stuff... so I decided to give this costume some more attention.
I managed to get a serious photo shoot with a photographer who is even on deviantART, so I actually can see his photos here, woot woot!
I took a different eyeshadows palette for the makeup (for the eyelids, the cheekbones and even the eyebrows), I used a more metallic green nail polish and yes, I finally took the big step.
I dyed my hair of a color which clearly is not natural on me. Red. 0.o
I felt really strange with red hair, especially the first days (like I was brushing the early morning and didn't recognize my own hair when it got in the brush! XD), but seeing how the photos look like I'm very happy I decided to dye my hair for the cosplay.
Now since I'm a redhair I will have to do more red haired characters for my next cosplays, I'm so excited!
It was pretty strange being the model instead of the photographer, and even if I still prefer jumping on my 'preys' with my camera like a hawk on pretty rabbits it was funny still.

Sorry for bragging with these photos, I just had a lot of fun and for once I was at the center of attention (in a good way) so it was really refreshing, especially because the period of this photo shoot had been really tough emotionally to me. Now I feel even more motivated becoming a better photographer and take more photos of cosplay  
I can't wait it's Halloween again, October is my favourite month of the year, where I can get cool props and makeup with no problems. More cosplays of me will come, but don't worry: I will still post a lot of drawings, stories, food, animal photos and so on. And expect Halloween themed things.
