St Canice cathedral

St Canice’s Cathedral and Round Tower, Kilkenny. One of the few churches in Ireland where there is a round tower and you can still climb it. 

Yes. You can climb the steep wooden steps, with no railings and almost no windows to dry your sweat off.
How can I tell it, you may ask... because I was enough stupid to pay to climb it even if I saw a very reassuring sign at the entrance which says that we take charge of any damage we'll get climbing the tower. Mhm.... 30m of height (trust me, when you are climbing it they seem much more!), hundreds of steps and I had a very heavy backpack with my Nikon inside.
I covered my legs with bruises and yet I had a LOT of fun, with three other men who sometimes even helped me with my backpack or showing me where I had to put my feet. I was the only girl on the top.
