Lydia in yukata

And... a little bonus for my Lydia Deetz cosplay! XD
At the comiccon there was a booth with people who could dress you up and style your hair in a traditional Japanese way. They were all from Japan so it wasn't very easy communicate -they didn't talk English, luckily there was a kind Italian translator nearby- but they were very kind. Since I asked them they didn't change my hairstyle (even if they tried it would be impossible... I had like a whole hairspray bottle sitting on my hairdo. XD) and just added some flowers, while I chose the only red yukata of the booth: nothing too gothic of course, so I decided to stay true with the original Lydia's outfit color.
I was helped wearing the yukata by a very nice woman who gave me the vibe of a mom, because she was nice but fast and very efficient. I applaud anyone who knows how to wear a kimono or in general outfits with so many layers, because if I tried to wear one alone I would take like two hours and I would have failed still. Being stylish can be really hard! XD
I didn't imagine the outfit would be so tight fitting, but it was really adherent! I felt like I was wearing a waist trainer or a corset, made with cotton fabric. I walked with my back veeeery straight thanks to that. XD
I know many people smirk when they see not Japanese people wearing these traditional outfits, but I always wanted to wear a kimono or a yukata. In general I like everything which is traditional from a culture, and clothes are all beautiful in their own unique way. But I'm always aware to be respectful towards other cultures. So I hope no one will feel offended if I say in that moment I felt a little bit closer to the Japanese culture which I always saw only through comics, movies and cartoons until now.
