 Another challenge for monthly challenge. Here the peculiarities my species had to have.
The planet is unique in the fact that it has a straight axis point, causing its gravity to lock so that there is only day on one side, and night on the other.  The day half of the planet has light, but is accompanied by extreme heat and dry air. Food and water and both very scarce. The night side is black, and though it has lots of water (Frozen) its freezing temperatures make finding food and warmth hard. 

Your Species Must: 
 Live on EITHER side of the planet, not both. 
 Had to have adapted to the life on that side of the planet. 
 Those on the light side must have a way to deal with constant heat and dry air, as well as a way of getting water and food, and finding shelter from the heat. 
 Those on the dark side must have a way to survive extreme cold and constant darkness, as well as finding warmth and food.

I chose my Poleepkwa OCs Kiri (the blue one) and Olo (the orange one). I made Kiri a bit darker and Olo a bit lighter in colour, and I changed other details obviously. Now they can fly. Fluffy Kiri is adorable.
Kiri has to survive in a dark and cold place while Olo has to stand high temperatures and strong sunlight. So here my idea.
